SSQ Insurance’s Elite Healthy Enterprise certification renewed by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec

The Bureau de la normalisation du Québec (BNQ) renewed the Elite Health Enterprise certification awarded to SSQ Insurance, still the first and only insurer to have this certification. An audit to determine compliance of organizational practices promoting workplace health and welfare conducted last November confirmed renewal of the certification.

“The well-being of our personnel is a reflection of our values and inherent to our management practices. At SSQ Insurance we believe that accountability for workplace health and welfare must be shared between the organization and its employees,” said Denis Légaré, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs at SSQ Insurance. “The process involved to gain this recognition and certification is demanding and once again has clearly demonstrated our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyle habits among our employees. We are very proud.”

SSQ Insurance develops and maintains a health program for its employees, integrating health and wellbeing into its organizational culture. The company ensures coherence between management practices and those of prevention and promotion of physical and psychological health, which are indispensable to quality of life and workplace attendance.

The link between health and economic performance is clear. It is not the only advantage. The wellbeing of an employee contributes to better work-life balance, more efficient stress management and in the end improved employee retention.
