Prescription Drugs
SSQ Insurance reimburses prescription drugs not covered by public plans under certain conditions. For more information, contact one of our advisors.
Eligibility
No evidence of insurability is required to purchase health insurance if you apply within 90 days of the end of your group health insurance.
However, if you wish to increase your travel insurance from 30 days to 180 days, you will need to provide evidence of insurability.
Evidence of insurability will be required if:
- You apply for SSQ Privilege health insurance more than 90 days after your group health insurance ends.
- You do not have a group health insurance contract.
- You must also be under age 70 to be eligible for health insurance.

Details on our Travel Insurance
- Maximum duration of travel
- Up to 30 days
- More than 30 days and less than 180 days
- Maximum reimbursement for an insured person per trip: $5,000,000
- Trip cancellation, maximum reimbursement of $5,000
- Travel assistance included with CanAssistance

SSQ Insurance Privilege dental care insurance covers the most common expenses. These may be reimbursed during your visit to the dentist.
Basic Dental Care
- Diagnostic service every nine months
- Preventive care, including a cleaning every nine months
Routine Dental Care
- Minor restoration
- Root canal treatment
- Rebase, reline, adjustment, and repair of removable dentures
